About project
Project Re-Start Ukrainepreneurship (RSU) is designed to act as a launchpad for the young Ukrainian refugees who have taken refuge in Estonia and Greece. The RSU project intends to support entrepreneurial aspirations of young Ukrainian refugees, so that they can build something new which will help in their development, and in future will also assist development of Ukraine. It is a collaboration between partners from Estonia and Greece, who thinks it is important to encourage and motivate the Ukrainian youngsters and women in these difficult times.
Objectives
- To provide Ukrainian refugees, especially young people, with a launch platform where they have access to information and information useful for starting their own business and using their skills in Estonia and Greece. Participating in the project allows them to better find themselves and direct their energy in starting new promising business activities.
- To provide Ukrainian refugees with contacts through networking and mentoring that enable them to start and grow their businesses, better understand business conditions and opportunities, and find potential investors and financial assistance.
- To enable young Ukrainian refugees to use their talents by creating a business that they can operate even if they one day return to Ukraine.
- To enable Ukrainian refugees to use their skills and at the same time create a larger customer base for Ukrainian goods than before.
- To offer support to Ukrainian entrepreneurs, which contributes to the long-term development of the Estonian and Greek economy.
Activities and Outputs:
Information and Learning Material:
This will involve research and assembling of educational materials presenting information for starting an entrepreneurial activity in Estonia and Greece for the Ukrainian refugees and immigrants. It will provide useful online information sources and e-learning courses. The modules will range from introduction to entrepreneurship to Understanding tax systems in Estonia and Greece. The material developed will be in partner organisation languages as well as in English and Ukrainian for benefit of our target groups involved.
E-Learning Platform:
RSU project e-learning platform will have information necessary for starting an entrepreneurial activity in the country. The website will be focused on e-learning area where the youth or anyone can learn the basics for starting a business. The e-learning platform will help to create awareness among the participants about entrepreneurship and the opportunities offered by providing information about them through articles and visual content.
Consulting and Mentoring:
RSU project aims to provide continuous consulting and mentoring to young Ukrainian refugees, who are intending to start companies in Estonia and in Greece. This will include various meetings and interactions with them, during the project duration, which will help to keep them on track of achieving success. We would consult and mentor a total of at least 20 refugees (10 in each country) in their process of starting an enterprise in their target countries for the whole project duration. YSBF and APOPSI will help them with knowledge about local markets, finding potential funding sources,consulting about local rules, regulations, bookkeeping and other necessary information. It will also include networking activities to bring together businesses and the Ukrainian refugees enabling mentors to share their experiences and give advice. It will allow the Ukrainian refugees to show their talent, at the same time, it will help to form business relationships that will further help the participants to setup their activity. It will also allow the Ukrainian refugees to find angel investors for their start-ups.
Social Entrepreneur Grants:
RSU project will award 4 social entrepreneurship grants, each of them being from 3000 to 5000 EUR. This will involves electing 4 participants and supporting them with grant, to start a business that will contribute back to the society of their target country and Ukraine.
